My neighbor counted and posted on our neighborhood message board how many street parking spaces we have and how many we would lose in an argument against daylighting. I live in a Brooklyn neighborhood where most people have private driveways. The parking NIMBYism is strong

I’m not autistic, just a parent to an autistic kid w/ fairly significant support needs, but I personally find it very frustrating to see so many people fixated on preventing, reducing, or “curing” autism and neurodiversity instead of talking about inclusion + getting folks whatever support they need

Everyone here throws a fit when they remove any of the free street parking in NYC even if it is for the public good. An example
