There’s no one-size-fits-all in marketing. The secret? Be authentic, be consistent, and be you.

I understand the sentiment and choice to delete FB. But keep in mind, many charities and small businesses rely heavily on that platform. You hurt them more than FB. Your presence can matter differently.

Not donating to Wikipedia because it’s ‘woke’ is like refusing to support libraries because they have books you don’t agree with. Imagine hating free access to knowledge. 😂

Good news for marketers who work with tea based customers and other healthy products. Long overdue.

There is a lot of passion from people around this. It has already happened to books. Marketers are facing some backlash with a hate for AI images.
Absolutely disgrace. Years of trying to lock kids up for Napster, discontinuing movies because of music rights, YOU WOULDN'T STEAL A CAR promo bullsh*t and they're ready to give it ALL away to big tech billionaires
Today, the UK government announced a proposal to change copyright law - for the benefit of AI companies - that would cause huge, irreversible harm to creators.

More info below, but most importantly here's what you can do (wherever you live):

1. Email your MP. Template letter in 🧵 👇

This is good info. Brand matters and understand that Google's eco-system is much bigger than the search engine. I also love the Hobbit reference in it but that is just the nerd in me.
Your company as an entity and the sentiments around that matter a lot more now that the world is moving into AI Search.

It's one of the things we spend a lot of time thinking about (and put into our ranking framework, etc.)
The role of brand is growing in SEO. The days of leveraging a trusted domain to stretch what you can be visible for are coming to an end at some point. You should start studying a bit more on brand so you can combine your SEO superpowers to brand signals.

My struggle... Doing a post for a professional non-profit that is promoting Woodpeckers. I am asking people to share their favorite Woodpecker photo. Is it bad I want to headline the post "Show us your Pecker?" Yes it is bad, but damn you know that would get good engagement. 😂

Interesting....Marketing ploy or something else?
The Illusion of Authenticity.

The term ‘authentic’ has evolved from a Romantic ideal into marketing gimmicks and aesthetic trends. In many cases, both at home and abroad, the search for authenticity often masks privilege, nostalgia and myth-making.

Am I the only marketer who hates click bait headlines? Current one "SEO is dying". It is evolving, yes. Dying, no.

I will never get why a business makes the choice, not to disclose the limitations of their product/offer for the sake of a one-time sale. Repeat sales, a trusted brand and referrals are far more valuable. You don’t get those when that one-time sale finds out those undisclosed limitations.

Fun fact. Google founders named the company from a play on words from the name googol, which is the word for the number 10 raised to the hundredth power - to highlight their goal to organize a seemingly infinite amount of information on the web. Share that at your next dinner party 😎

Every time I read about banning books, I think of this:

Reading a book with a gay character will not make you gay any more than reading a book about Einstein will make you a genius.
If you're afraid that books might change someone's thinking, you're not afraid of books — you're afraid of thinking.

People spend on average about 20 seconds reading a single page online before jumping to another. Quit word stuffing and get to the point. Words matter and especially those headlines.

How is everyone feeling about AI marketing? Yay or Nay?
Went to the mall yesterday, and the amount of stores that are clearly using Ai image designs for marketing was fucking gross.
