maybe a rich guy that likes the history could save it as a VIR style country club track (thx to having heavy track rentals), but even that is lottery odds tbh.

So many in that region have moved down south too, and obviously other big industry players have 0 use bc rural/small market power

Iowa is a ticking time bomb regardless, because of the direct road & air access

WGI - I actually have alot of fear for. That region is pretty much like Rock pre-04 at this rate with IBM & Corning pulling back from the Southern Tier (the OG birthplace for IBM in Endicott is being bulldozed this yr)

I actually think Richmond would stay safe thx to ampitheater + AEG partnership. Warehouses maybe (given there's several to the east, Amazon already has a fulfillment center to the NE of the track too)

Don't see a data center there given it's location w/ all of the neighborhoods & schools around it

Another wrinkle in all of this: all of the tracks that are lease deals for operation/promotion rights & not actual land ownership

i.e. Daytona (city, which itself has been on the brink of a internal fight with Volusia County for years w/ the airport), Homestead (city), Bowman Gray (city)

if you don't count DNQ's - then Kyle Busch & Allmendinger would also have the same number (#84)

if you do count DNQ's - then Ky Busch in the 60 & David Starr in the 75

if you count mid-race driver changes, then Martin Truex Jr. in the #8
December 7, 2025 at 5:20 AM
following would have same #

11 - Yeley, Hamlin
15 - Chastain, Poole, Herbst
25 - Kes. & Elliott
33 - McLeod, T. Dillon, Cindric, Brown, A. Hill, Love
38 - Gilliland, Alfredo
43 - Wallace, Heim
51 - Allgaier, Larson, Custer, Bilicki
77 - LaJoie, Haley, Berry
91 - SVG, Helio
98 - Preece, A. Dillon

CART never had a co-champion

your thinking of the first Indy Racing League season (which was 3 races in 1996 (Disney World, Phoenix & the 500) as they had the stupid idea to have the season finale as the 500 originally (which was scrapped by the end of 1997)

I wanna see it bad too - but to be fair, there was rumors about some tracks being scanned years prior before they were actually released (i.e. Slinger)

no different than the early NASCAR days, when big time F1 tracks are knocking - the rest get pushed back priority wise
December 5, 2025 at 9:04 AM
imagine FOX actually using a camera mic that's not muted or mounted 500 miles away

(They tried their damnest to make Bowman Gray more silent than a senior tour golf game)
