These are the exact same factors that give rise to populist charlatans just waiting to exploit voters' desperation. PP came close, but once Trump went full fascist, Canadians recoiled in horror. It might not happen a second time, unless some serious systemic issues are addressed, soon!

For the record, I knew Cheetolini was bad news from the moment he came down that escalator to announce his candidacy. He's just another side of the coin to Chavez' so-called "social revolution of the 21st century", which ended up being no different than the gravy train Trump has set up for himself

Never mind that they were torching the democracy of the country they are currently living in. I've learned the hard way that in the world of geopolitics, it's hard to tell apart the good guys from the bad ones. (2/2)

As a Venezuelan, I can honestly say I'm not surprised. It's also the reason why a whole lot of Venezuelans living in the U.S. voted for the orange clown. They wanted what Trump is doing, which is bringing terror to the shores of the regime (1/2).

His business acumen speaks for itself, nothing but bankruptcies. The Apprentice gave him a lifeline he didn’t deserve and enough Americans bought into his entirety made up mythology. However, as bad as that man is, he’s also the worst possible symptom of an ailing society.

Yes, that man has never known a day of struggle in his entire useless life. He's the "Exhibit A" of mediocre white men getting away with murder because of their wealth. It's going to take an enormous amount of courage and resolve to push back and I don't see any MALE Dem leaders exhibiting that.

Oh, it very much is. Mark my words, the leader of the resistance in the U.S. is going to be a woman. In Venezuela, all the male opposition leaders crumbled or eventually switched sides to retain their positions. Not Maria Corina, she never wavered.

That was my comment on my FB page this morning when I read the news: "Awarded to someone who for the past 20 years has been actively fighting an authoritarian regime, at great personal cost. Sounds familiar? If it doesn’t, just give it another 3 years."
