America was built BY WORKERS who paid with their health and lives.

By enslaved people stripped of all human rights, women in wartime factories, miners in company towns, and immigrants seeking better lives.

Not by billionaires. Not by kings.

We aren't going back.

Reading the story about the woman in Georgia who is brain dead and on a vent but not allowed to die with dignity because she was 9 weeks pregnant when she was declared brain dead. Even in death, our bodies are not our own.

Tax cuts for high-income people DO NOT stimulate the economy. Those people buy all the goods and services they want regardless of taxes. Increasing minimum wages and infrastructure projects actually inject money into the economy at a 2.3x multiplier, because recipients re-spend that money.

Whenever you hear conservative politicians preach from the gospel of "fiscal responsibility," remember that one of the biggest drivers of deficits lately are the Bush and Trump tax cuts, which have added nearly $10 trillion to the national debt.

🧵1/ BIG NEWS!! CDC just dropped a landmark report — the first US data on RSV hospitalizations after rollout of the maternal vaccine and infant antibody. What happened? Hospitalizations in babies under 3 months fell nearly 50% vs pre-pandemic years. Quietly, radically effective.

This is what a rigged economy looks like:

In the 1970s, CEOs made 27 times more than the average worker.

In the 1980s, CEOs made 48 times more than the average worker.

This decade, CEOs are making 354 times more than the average worker.

That has got to change.

Friends, a bit of good news! 🎉 (We take it whenever we can!)

The Trump admin reversed their decision to cut funding for the Women's Health Initiative (WHI), a landmark study that’s essential in advancing our understanding of women’s health. 🙌
In a reversal, the Trump administration restores funding for women's health study
The unexpected elimination of funding for the decades-long research project focused on women's health shocked scientists. They were heartened by the quick restoration of support.

🛑 For today's call to action: The Trump admin is expanding Schedule F.

This could strip civil service protections from thousands of federal workers, including scientists—replacing them with Trump loyalists.

-40% of births nationwide
-50% of kids with special needs
-72 million people in total

Remember this as Republicans move to gut the program to finance tax cuts that will overwhelmingly go to the richest 1% of Americans.

Make time to read this, please ✌🏽🔥
A colleague at Stanford’s business school used The Stanford Daily to argue—poorly—against DEI. The piece was riddled with historical errors and left one searching for fact, so I broke my public writing hiatus to respond.

I hope you’ll read and share the piece.

What DEI threatens isn’t merit. It’s monopoly.
Political science professor Hakeem Jefferson argues for DEI's importance to de-monopolizing universities.
