I had to turn off the Abuse and Disinformation ones so that I could see my own posts, lol.

I think it's still okay for some stuff, though. There's also one that hides or warns you if some follows specific accounts like Vance, Brianna Wu, Jesse Singal. Let me know if you want that one.

For the most part, I have settings set to warn or hide rather than outright block because the services can only be trusted so far, like how I'm not using PEF's label for abusive.

That's appreciated. I don't know all the dog whistles and stereotypes and I've fallen into a few traps out of ignorance, but I'm willing to make amends and learn from them.

What I know of the Jewish faith is beautiful and full of healing and forgiveness and is very separate from zionism.

You have to subscribe to the labeling services to see them. For sports, you have to then select the sports/teams you want to see. If you have questions about specific labelers, let me know.

Well, I found out why my account was labled this way.

It appears that I'm an "AIPAC terrorist," which is a label I'll wear with pride.

Anyway, be wary of using the PEF moderation labeler given that this is how they judge.

We do not label "per post" like platform does. US Jews reading your content need to know how you feel about their primary lobbying group, regardless of the rest of the posts.

I'm not going to argue whatever criteria you have, because that's pointless, but there is a huge difference between being against an Israeli lobbying group that holds too much sway over our politicians and being anti-Jew.

It is, in point of fact, antisemitic to conflate the two given the number of US Jews who do not support the actions of Israel—a sovereign country that not all Jews align with—or AIPAC.

I have numerous posts defending Jews and calling out antisemitism because I believe that Jews are being unjustly maligned due to the actions of a few.

To see your justification for the labels you put on my account says exactly what your priorities are and I'll wear those badges with pride.

OFFICE OF THE GOVERNOR
October 6, 2025

Dear Fellow Governors,

[Text indented for emphasis by Newsom] Founded in 1908, the National Governors Association is the voice of the leaders of 55 states, territories, and commonwealths. Our nation's Governors are dedicated to leading bipartisan solutions that improve citizens' lives through state government. . . . Thanks to decades of broad expertise, NGA teams are able to work side-by-side with state leaders to identify challenges, help Governors stay ahead of the curve and offer solutions before challenges become problems.
-- National Governors Association Website, "About" [end excerpt]

The above excerpt highlights the National Governors Association's storied history as a bipartisan institution. As with many respected institutions, however, the National Governors Association has lost its voice and its way in the face of the Trump Administration's onslaught against democratic norms, including efforts to undermine the sovereignty of states as protected by the Tenth Amendment of the United States Constitution.

In the face of unprecedented assaults on the authority of states led by Democratic Governors, including politicized terminations of federal funding, attempts to override state laws that federal courts have upheld as lawful, and the federalization of states' National Guard troops over the objection of those states' Governors, the National Governors Association has been mute. Even when the Trump Administration cut grants and Congress cut funding that benefits all states, and Republican-led states disproportionately so, the National Governors Association has been unable to advocate for what's in the best interest of its members' states and their constituents.

(Page 1, cont.) (page 1 cont.)

Yesterday, Secretary Peter Hegseth issued a memorandum federalizing Texas National Guard soldiers and deploying them to "Illinois, Oregon, and other locations throughout the United States." Let's pause to fully consider this: the federal government federalized the National Guard of one state to send into another.

It should not be difficult for state leaders, regardless of partisan affiliation, to agree that politicizing our states' National Guard and deploying the Guard from one state into another, over the objections of the home-state Governor, harms the interests

[Footer]GOVERNOR GAVIN NEWSOM • SACRAMENTO, CALIFORNIA 95814 • (916) 445-2841 of states. That only states led by Governors from one party are currently bearing the brunt of this assault should not matter: history shows that norms, once broken, are difficult to repair, and the shoe can quickly be on the other foot. In fact, a recent member of this organization, former Governor of South Dakota Kristi Noem, said just last year that if then President Biden "federalizes the National Guard ... and takes away my authority as governor ... we do have a war on our hands."

As the federal judge who blocked President Trump's attempt to deploy federalized National Guard troops in Portland, Oregon wrote in her order rejecting the Trump Administration's justification for deploying federalized troops:
"This historical tradition boils down to a simple proposition: this is a nation of Constitutional law, not martial law. Defendants have made a range of arguments that, if accepted, risk blurring the line between civil and military federal power — to the detriment of this nation."

I could not agree more. In that spirit, I am calling on my fellow Governors, the leaders of the 54 other states, territories, and commonwealths who make up the National Governors Association's membership, to denounce this infringement of state sovereignty and unequivocally tell the federal government that it is unacceptable to deploy troops from one state to another, over the objections of the Governor where troops are being sent.

If we cannot come together, on a bipartisan basis, on this basic principle of state sovereignty, what purpose does the National Governors Association serve? If the National Governors Association cannot coalesce around this, I will have no choice but to withdraw California's membership. And I would also call on others to do the same.
Sincerely,

Gavin Newsom Governor of California

JB PRITZKER GOVERNOR
October 6, 2025

Governor State of Oklahoma 2300 N. Lincoln Blvd., Suite 212 Oklahoma City, OK 73105

Dear Governor Stitt:
On April 29th, 2024, I joined you and 51 of our colleagues in sending a letter to President Biden's Secretary of Defense, Lloyd Austin, voicing our opposition to Legislative Proposal 480. In that letter, we stood united—53 Governors strong—around a fundamental principle: "Ensuring the National Guard is adequately equipped with resources and capabilities to serve as the operational combat reserve for national security missions and to support domestic emergencies is among the National Governors Association's highest priorities."

Together, Democratic and Republican Governors unequivocally reminded the Biden Administration of a shared commitment: "For over a century, Title 10 and Title 32 of U.S.C. have upheld gubernatorial authority over the National Guard. National Guard assets are critical components of states and territories' responses to crises. Governors must maintain full authority as Commanders in Chief of these assets to protect operational readiness and America's communities."

Our collective belief then—and my unwavering conviction now—is that actions "that sidestep, eliminate or otherwise reduce Governors' authority within their states and territories undermine longstanding partnerships, precedence, military readiness and operational efficacy. This action also negatively affects the important relationships between Governors and the federal government at a time when we need full trust and confidence to meet growing threats posed by strategic competition as well as natural disasters."

(CONT.) The principles we defended in April 2024 rose above party lines and presidential administrations. They are constitutional imperatives that demand protection regardless of the occupant of the White House.

That is why I am calling on you, as Chair of the National Governors Association, to speak out against the unconstitutional deployment of Texas National Guard units into Illinois without my consent or authorization. Texas Governor Greg Abbott said he authorized, in coordination with President Trump, his state's National Guard to operate within Illinois borders — a direct violation of the principles we all defended just months ago. This is precisely the federal and interstate overreach we warned against—gubernatorial authority being trampled, state sovereignty being ignored, and the constitutional balance between states being attacked. If the President continues overriding Governors to deploy military assets into another state against another Governor's will, we have abandoned the foundational principles that have protected our Republic for nearly 250 years. This action must be denounced immediately and unequivocally by the National Governors Association.

The credibility of the National Governors Association—and our integrity as state executives—rests on our willingness to apply our principles consistently, regardless of which administration attacks them. Should National Governors Association leadership choose to remain silent, Illinois will have no choice but to withdraw from the organization. I remain hopeful that principled leadership will prevail over political calculation and we can chart a path forward together.

Sincerely,
Governor JB Pritzker State of Illinois
