Incremental change is still change.
From the NYTimes, about Tennessee's vote tonight:

BlueSky doesn't allow enough characters for me to go into depth. If you have a question, please ask.
In short, it was a 'wing it' attempt at Fair Isle for a gift for a relative. I extended the background color to the sides, then seamed the center and edge-stitched.

Without prejudice -- but who would be the one to re-file?

I don't think Mamdani is role-playing. No one can hold a cat's rump that confidently unless they know how. I think he genuinely likes NYC and the people in it.

I think it's that confidence in himself that Trump reacted to. Trump has bravado, not confidence in himself, and he was in awe. (1/2)

If you're not following Heather Cox Richardson, you should. She frames current events in relevant historical context. There is little drama, but there's room for some humor. An excerpt from a recent 'Politics Chat:'

I find myself thinking of this scene from "Notorious."

"We are protected by the enormity of your stupidity, for a time."

So much time and taxpayer money wasted ... and all to make themselves look like fools.

This will make a great short play someday, though. The script is already written.

He has a serious issue with leggings.

Ha. It's MAGAs who are handed mass-produced signs. Trump is projecting again.
My sign:

The contrast between mass-produced and distributed MAGA signs, and what you see at a No Kings rally, is so stark that I went with a somewhat meta poster.

Let's add credit where it's due. Those are the final lines from current NYTimes coverage.

"Joining the No Kings protest, he said, made him feel less alone.

“For me to come out, a normal, small person like me, and see all of this, it’s really great,” he said."

One of these things is not like the others ...
October 18, 2025 at 6:49 PM
This is my sign. It's meta, but think of all of those identical MAGA signs that attendees are given to hold up. I loved seeing the variety and creativity at the June No Kings rally, and I'm sure I'll see more of the same.

I also like that, if you omit the final comma, the sentiment still holds.

I don't have an inflatable frog costume but I'm dusting off a costume from years ago that seems apt*. If you have anything that's humorous and could be seen as topical, go for it! It's almost Halloween anyway.

*Here's a photo of the original. I had made a rough copy.

I always check the Downballot's special elections Big Board. The win is nice. The increase in margin is what matters.
