Honestly, I feel a bit stupid for getting so excited about the Microsoft Agent 365 launch. 3 weeks after signing up for the Frontier preview, there's fuck all you can do with #Agent365. Because MS hasn't made any agent templates available to apply my A365 trial licenses on.🙄

This is the exact reason why people hate it when Microsoft product marketing renames things.

Like, they get a bright idea "instead of Dynamics CRM and ERP, let's just call everything Dynamics 365." Immediately, you no longer know what the web pages refer to, what certifications are for, etc.
"By coining Cmdlet, I created a specific semantic bucket. When the community wrote a blog post, or a script, or a help file, they put it in that bucket. Our language defined our community and made it easy for us to find one another and communicate with each other. This is the 2 AM Principle in action. When an admin is paged at 2 AM because a server is down, they don’t care about the corporate style guide. They care about finding the fix right now. If they Google “Exchange Command fails”, they get garbage. If they Google “Exchange Cmdlet fails”, they get the solution. Naming is a discoverability feature. If you can’t Google the answer, the feature is broken."

Anyone who builds or administers Power Platform or Dynamics 365 CRM solutions should be using XrmToolBox. The tools are awesome, but the experience of discovering and searching for them is... a bit oldskool.

2 years after their rolled Aptos out to Microsoft 365 apps, it's still not available in business apps like Dynamics 365.

Which, to be honest, is totally in line with how the silos at Microsoft work.

To make #Windows aware of its recycle bin, you need to manually go and "Pin to Start":
Selecing the Recycle Bin from the desktop and clicking "Pin to Start" will make the Windows 11 Start menu aware of the Recycle Bin feature added to Windows 30 years ago.

Sure, Windows. Let's go and do a Bing search for "recycle bin". It has only existed in the OS since Win95. No reason for the #Win11 Start menu to have any knowledge of it.
Trying to launch Recycle Bin from Windows 11 Start menu does not allow you to launch the Recycle Bin, because Windows 11 is not aware of the existence of the Recycle Bin. Instead, we get helpful Bing search previews of instruction videos and articles of how to open the Recycle Bin.

The big push for Microsoft in all this is to get the Project Manager Agent to work with all Planner plans. Beacuse apparently the hight of project management capabilities in 2025 is an AI assitant that can automatically generate status fancy reports for managers to ignore.

Message MC1193421 in #Microsoft365 admin center tells us about the retirement of Planner features, taking place between mid-January 2026 and mid-February 2026. So, that's when the unified plan is expected to land.

Microsoft Planner is in reality 2 separate products: the "classic" Planner on MS Graph and what used to be Project for the Web on Dataverse. At Ignite 2025, the promise of a single plan type was made, with expectations set as "in the coming months".

The products being made by the tech industry no longer feel like they’re made for any living human being, but the abstraction of a person created in the mind of a product manager in Palo Alto or a venture capitalist that hasn’t set foot in a city in a decade. These people believe that the best products are the ones that must be forced upon users, who in turn will adapt to how the product works versus making products that solve a problem that a customer already has. Silicon Valley no longer leads us — it attacks us with ideas until we either give in or are tricked into engaging with Copilot on Word or Gemini on Google Docs or accidentally brush an AI button or because our bosses tell us “you need to be AI-first” without knowing what the fuck that means.

If you could classify your project as "AI," you were safe and prestigious. If you couldn't, you were nobody. Overnight, most engineers got rebranded as "not AI talent." And then came the final insult: everyone was forced to use Microsoft's AI tools whether they worked or not. Copilot for Word. Copilot for PowerPoint. Copilot for email. Copilot for code. Worse than the tools they replaced. Worse than competitors' tools. Sometimes worse than doing the work manually. But you weren't allowed to fix them—that was the AI org's turf. You were supposed to use them, fail to see productivity gains, and keep quiet. Meanwhile, AI teams became a protected class. Everyone else saw comp stagnate, stock refreshers evaporate, and performance reviews tank. And if your team failed to meet expectations? Clearly you weren't "embracing AI."
