Love that the Apple News spotlight is always some shit like “Worms Are Getting Smarter. Scientists Say That’s Bad.” Awesome. Never gonna pay for Apple News and ruin these mysteries for myself.

Drives me nuts how every news story about Apple starts by noting that they're "fumbling AI" as though everyone loves copilot or gemini or whatever. Feels like the unspoken message is "We expect annoying trend-chasing from everyone else, just not Apple!"

So tired of referencing the Gom Jabbar and my friends are like “oh the pain box in dune that kills you right?” NO THE BOX DOES NOT KILL YOU. Frankenstein’s MONSTER kills you.

I’m sketching in colored pencil for the first time in years. It’s reinvigorating just to switch mediums for a sec

I'm excited to share this commission finally! I'm really happy with how this composition turned out and with the emotions in the faces and poses.

I saw Late Night with The Devil and damn do the genAI bumpers look pretty bad. It’s primarily an ethical problem, and that should bother you, but even if you’re unconvinced on that front, it’s sloppy. Creative professionals should be criticized for choices like this.

How come every time some new AI thing is rightfully dismissed by actual professionals, someone always has to be like “But AI could surely be useful for SOME aspects of that job, right?” like they’re trying to help ChatGPT get a summer internship

Gemini, the cuddliest cat I have ever known, is nearing the end of his life. I did a gouache study of him that, beautifully, probably contains a lot of his stray fur, as all of my paintings do. I'm gonna miss him very much.

AI and NFT projects are not cute, they’re serious signs of distress! Tech startup founders only do that when they haven’t been given enough enrichment. If yours launches a blockchain project or AI initiative, PLEASE make sure you give them more taxpayer money and markets to disrupt. Also ketamine.

Hello everyone! I’m Jules and I draw mostly fantasy and sci-fi art, but I’m always down to stretch my comfort zone too. I’m looking for freelance work, especially in the realm of TTRPG, TCG, and other tabletop game art! #portfolioday

I'm not looking for work at this time, so I've had a complicated relationship with #portfolioday recently, but I'd love to invite more eyes to the world I'm building in the personal project I'm working on!

I'm Kai, and I'm a fantasy illustrator from Texas

Any other PC artists have a good grasp of what specs affect painting performance in clip studio or photoshop most? I’m contemplating upgrading from 16gb to 32gb of RAM but I have no idea if that will matter and I can’t find anyone dissecting this topic with the fervor of gamers

This year’s Adobe Max feels profoundly disingenuous. It’s all in on genAI and they’re trying to hype up how monumental and transformative it is while still claiming it’s not going to kill jobs. It’s quite the needle to try to thread.

I really gravitate towards painting nighttime scenes. Photo reference doesn’t match the way we see at night, so it forces me to get really subjective with the lighting.

Oh hey #portfolioday! I paint fantasy and sci-fi. I do character portraits, environments, you name it

Ok so, I shared this earlier and quite frankly it did *not* get enough attention, I now realize that the thumb just looked like a Lisa Frank unicorn ate some funny shrooms and shat a blurry mass of #cmyk. So here, I made crops, appreciate my tiny beautiful NPCs

How I drew this portrait of Kapo, my D&D character, back in 2016 is beyond me. The wing anatomy is a little sloppy but overall I still really like it and basically like nothing else I drew that long ago

Why do the AI folks love astronauts so much. That’s like their number one selling point is instantly making an image of whatever you want as an astronaut

Amazing how Adobe watched ArtStation and Deviantart lose the respect of their userbase and spin into useless spam-filled cesspools overnight by embracing GAI and went “yeah let’s also do that”
So Adobe Stock. Go there. Type a well known artist. Say, a concept artist like Craig Mullins. You wouldn’t think his work would be licensed on Adobe Stock. It’s not. BUT AI generated versions along with the prompt used by some typist with the artists name in the prompt. Totally unacceptable.See pics
