Founder of:
- Embarque.io - revenue-driven SEO w/ clients like VEED, Riverside, etc.
- Keyword Metrics - Rank tracking tool that turns hours of keyword analysis into minutes
A massive win for the Semrush founders and probably a massive headache for the users.

Local SEO tip: Add your city to your keywords naturally.

'Best coffee shop in Austin' will actually rank for you.

'Best coffee shop' targets everyone and no one.

Specificity works.

Took a moment to zoom out this morning. It's easy to get lost in daily metrics and forget why we started this journey in the first place.

Whatever you're building, it matters💙

Generic success claims don't convert anymore. People now want to see exactly what you did step by step, so they can evaluate whether it applies to them.
Vague testimonials are worthless.

Following your passion is terrible advice for most people.

Follow your skills instead and monetize them. Passion can be a hobby. Not everything you love needs to pay your rent.

If your bounce rate is above 70%, your content isn't matching search intent.

Check what people actually search, then look at what your page delivers.

If there's a mismatch, rewrite the intro to immediately address search intent

Google tracks engagement. If people leave fast, you won't rank.

The hardest lesson in entrepreneurship nobody tells you about is learning when to shutdown your own ideas🥲

Holding on because of sunk cost just bleeds more time and money.

Accept that your attachment to an idea that sucks doesn't make it viable, and you can actually pivot to something that works.

Throwback to the Friday game sessions with the team 😍.

Definitely helped us bring together more than anything else.

Monday reminder that almost everyone on your timeline is struggling with something they're not posting about🥲

So, be kind to yourself this week even if things don't go perfectly, because literally nobody has it all figured out

Happy new week everyone🫶

Lost two close friends in 2023 while trying to keep the company alive. Nobody prepares you for running a business while grieving.

There's no bereavement policy when you work for yourself. Bills don't pause for emotions. Clients still need deliverables

Dia is ChatGPT in a browser. Because opening ChatGPT in a tab was apparently too hard.

It's Arc for people who found Arc too complicated but want AI to hold their hand through every webpage.

Will check back in 2 years when they launch their third browser that 'reimagines browsing' again.

London has the energy, Geneva has the focus, Lisbon has the vibes.

I used to think my productivity was all me, but turns out I'm also location-dependent

Google shipped this in 2005.

Your first version doesn't need to be perfect. It needs to solve a problem.

Peace of mind is a system. So is burnout. A year ago, I was running a business that relied on my exhaustion.

Now, I'm building one that runs on systems. Feels so much better.

I did a panel on how to get your first users as a startup last week.

Embarque's first day was... pure hustle, publicly documented 😂
Been 5 years, but the memory still feels fresh and new.

Full circle hehe.
