If you can't attend a protest, I would suggest speaking to your values in whatever ways you can, and attending to something *you can do*. Remember, many things are happening at once. They want to keep your head spinning.

Let purpose preempt despair.

And as far as I can tell, what I expeienced was very much on the less bad side of the spectrum. I still cried the first time I talked to someone who understood I might need people to come to me rather than me going to them.

Getting an untreatable chronic illness was...eye-opening.

(eg refer you to people who can help you figure out adaptive equipment and applying for disability payments and in home assistance and whatnot.)

Before I got CFS, I figured that if you get sick, you go to the doctor and either they fix it, or if for some reason they can't they point you in the direction of what to do next
