5000 archives is quite a milestone - and no better way to celebrate it than the publication of the new permanent home for the 'Corpus Vitrearum Medii Aevi' - a stunning collection of 28,000 images of stained glass - especially for those who thought we were just about holes in the ground.

#Findsfriday! I'm planning a series of posts on the finds from the Viking camps at Torksey and Aldwark, highlighting the release of the site databases on the ADS.

Inspired by Dr Nelleke IJssennagger-van der Pluijm's talk to the SSNS last night, I thought I'd start with these two lead 'trial pieces'
