this is so sweet!! I love how the gold-toned background recedes behind the characters so clearly, that is such a neat touch.

Thank you! It's cool to hear that because I look at a lot of cut paper artists for inspiration—the clean sharp lines really do it for me.

!! you can always rehydrate them with a lil water, and a tip I learned from another illustrator is that mixing a bit of honey can get them back to that lovely creamy consistency! good luck!

Now! I cannot actually show:

-my favorite piece from this year, OR
-the most recent piece, so you'll all just have to see those when they are out in the world 👀

these are pretty close contenders, though!

I sure have—even with that our meds together are just over $200 a month. Which is about what we're paying now for insurance, only that would be without also having insurance which is so cool and good (it is not). Thanks for sharing this, though, for folks who might not know about it!

I'm an independently-employed artist and my spouse is in grad school for social work, so we have literally no other healthcare option. So cool for us!!

Ours went from $213 a month to $460 a month, and after six months the subsidies go away entirely and it'll be $2000 a month. No idea what we're gonna do! Me & my spouse both have necessary monthly medication! 🫠
