Fair points. My personal view was that his background of 'market banter talk' (not limited to market traders at all as we know) was v out of kilter with what became a massive BBC show with a huge number of contestants where he had to know how to speak & behave sensitively and politely

Exactly. Why was he given a platform? If he was funny, engaging, kind...? But every female, and a lot of males watching used to cringe at his obvious creepiness in almost every episode

The Xmas lights are up in in a lot of towns tho. And where we live in the country, the tress are still brown/orange and there's lots of lovely wintry mist
