The big question is whether both teams will meet. Pablo and I propose that “generative metabolism” AI-algorithms can be applied to rewind metabolic evolution from LUCA and thus open the Oparin tunnel.

Oparin already suggested that studying the origin of life was like two teams of workers drilling a tunnel from opposite ends: from chemistry to biology (bottom-up) and from biology to chemistry (top-down).
