In this meeting I have briefly explained #eurodoc origins and how our participation on the drafting of the European Charter for Researchers by @ec.europa.eu was instrumental to help fighting for the basic working rights of early career researchers in Spain and elsewhere.

Here are all the talks I attended and sketched at #ESEB2025 ! Only a fraction of the 642 speakers at the conference 😮

I had an absolutely amazing week chatting about lots of fascinating science

What a great conference #ESEB2025 was! Catching up with, and making new friends 🤓 I also presented our latest results on genetic load. And Barcelona was 👌🏼

I had a really great time at ESEB 2025. I think the organizers did a great job 👍, and it was a truly gargantuan effort. I am excited that the next ESEB is a hub conference. I hope that future ESEBs also decide to go plant based and plastic free to become even more sustainable. #ESEB2025 #ESEB2027

Thank you #ESEB2025 for a wonderful week of science interactions, symposia, posters, chats with friends old and new. It's such a fantastic conference, the main challenge being choosing among so many wonderful parallel sessions! I loved being in Barcelona and seeing the energy of the organisers.

With my #ESEB2025 tour concluded and myself on the way back, I’m arranging photos taken in #Barcelona. First of all, the Museum of Natural Sciences of Barcelona, which is sweetly located near the conference venue.
The museum from the outside. Skeleton of a fin whale near the entrance. The whale beached in 1862 and was kept in Catalonia because of local people’s wish. Some animal specimens in the museum. This set has a theme of “predators”, with animals included here all have some unique/interesting means of hunting. Fossilized skull of a Ophthalmosaurus incenicus. It’s one of the best known ichthyosaurs thanks to it appearance in the documentary series Walking with Dinosaurs.

Also quite close to the conference venue of #ESEB2025 is Parc de Diagonal Mar. There are a lot of birds (and bugs) here. Very enjoyable to walk around here.
Gulls at Parc de Diagonal Mar, including at least yellow-legged gulls (Larus michaheis) and black-headed gulls (Chroicocephalus ridibundus). Greylag geese (Anser anser) in the park. Some are sleeping. Birds in the park. At the center is a gray heron (Ardea cinerea). A black-tailed skimmer (Orthetrum cancellatum).
