Ontem foi dia das meninas e mulheres na ciência e tecnologia e não posso deixar de observar que, apesar das ações atuais, ainda precisamos avançar em assuntos básicos. Um desses seriam os concursos públicos, onde mulheres e homens têm seus currículos avaliados mensurados sem ao menos considerar...

This is my model organism Catharanthus roseus (Madagascar periwinkle), the source of chemotherapeutic agent vinblastine, clinically used for various cancers, e.g., leukemia. The synthesis of vinblastine is restricted to rare, specialized cells. Very nice flowers and makes great lab plants.
