科学者による復元が尤もらしく見えるのはどういう場合か,それが荒唐無稽な復元と区別されないのはなぜか,どうして「どうせ想像でしょ」「よくわかんないけど科学者がそう言ってるんだからそうなんでしょ」と言い捨てられてしまうのか,どんな説明が足りないのか,ということにもう少し注意が払われてもいいと思うんですけども.

Trilobites had pairs of legs at each segment. There were spiny walking legs and feathered swimming gill legs.

Here's the 5th specimen to keep with the theme. 😁

This is how I found this Triarthrus eatoni in the field and then after prep. These are very difficult trilobites to prepare because the pyrite is so soft. Low pressure micro-abrasion and patience is required.
