All right, let's do this one last time.

My name is David Clark. I was bitten by a radioactive crinoid, and for 13 years I was on the bird site as clarkeocrinus.

I'm pretty sure you know the rest.

I spent this #FossilFriday at Wadi al Hitan in Egypt, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where early whales like this Basilosaurus are hard to miss as they weather out of the Eocene Birket Qarun Formation. (Wadi al Hitan translates as "Valley of the Whales.")

I recently had the wonderful opportunity to speak with the Che-Hanna Rock and Mineral Club and Inga Wells gifted me this lovely trilobite! Cryptolithus tesselatus from the Trenton Formation, Swatara Gap, PA. #FossilFriday

This is from Georgia Fort’s video.

This was another unlabeled piece, but I plan to search for an ID.

It's a very strange echinoderm with 4 swirling ridges to the mouth.

It feels like an Ordovician cystoid, but I really don't know.

I would love to hear if anyone has ideas.

I usually stick to echinoderms, but this insect was so stunning.

This is a Cretaceous aged Neuropterid insect, Hemerobidae sp.

This is another really cool trace fossil, but unfortunately there was no label, so I don't know where it's from.

There is a trilobite resting spot and at least two starfish trace fossils.

The label said this is a Pennsylvanian aged trilobite track from the Hale Formation of Arkansas.

I've never seen a trilobite or track from Pennsylvanian aged Arkansas. Trilobites would be extinct at the end of the Permian.

I finally have a nice LeGrand crinoid piece.

This Mississippian aged site in Iowa is famous for crinoids with preserved color. The darker crinoid is Rhodocrinites kirbyi and the lighter one is Platycrinites symmetricus.

I picked up a few fossils from an old collection this week.

I need a timeline cleanse for #FossilFriday

Here it goes.

Happy #FossilFriday how does a thread about the Inner Meadow biota and unexpected age for the fossils, and a refocusing of Martin Brasier’s #KotlinCrisis sound?
We’ve been trickling out our findings from Inner Meadow including #Charnia brasieri, #Aninoides and there's even cooler stuff in review. 🧵

My 7yo daughter’s best friends’ family fled the country a few weeks ago. Today she came home with a drawing of her and another friend blowing whistles at ICE agents.

“We’re blowing the whistles and so ICE will go away and our friends can come back,” she said.

I started sobbing uncontrollably.

democrats tell their base they cant do anything in the minority but the problem is we've had multiple instances over the last 20 years of watching republicans do shit while in the minority so we know the dems are full of it.
This is the crucial part. Republicans knew how to use their minority power. Democrats appear to be frittering it away.

Of the biggest scandals in US history just this week, I think I’d rank them:

1) Federal paramilitaries invade US city based on racist lies, murder US citizens

2) Slush fund for the president from stolen foreign resources held in Qatar

3) Whatever FBI and DNI are doing re: 2020 election in Georgia

Scrolling through the photos of Pam Bondi's "Minnesota rioters," it's just hero after hero. Every photo includes a cowardly DHS agent with their back to the camera.

Bondi thinks she's going to win the propaganda war with this shit, but it's never been more clear that they're losing.
