Just discovered that the #FleetwoodMac gig "Live in Largo 1975" has been cleaned up with the big annoying w'mark removed and better fidelity. Just before they were about to go stratospheric. Top of their game. Blue Letter at 49:29. Wow! Exhilarating rock n roll.

The glitter & interference paints show different highlights when the paintings are viewed in varying angles/lighting, plus the texture of the glitter and other materials provide surface; Albers' paintings are perfectly flat and precise, mine are wonky and blinged up. I intend to make 100...

What's up?

I'm working on a series of small 8"/20cm square canvases (4 for £2 from Poundland!). These are my homage to Josef Albers' "Homage to the Square" works. Similar in conception, receding squares but I use glitter and iridescent paints. I call them "Homage to the Sparkle".

I've been pretty obsessed by #painter Brice Marden for some time and even more so since his recent death. The way he progresses for #minimalist colourfield abstracts in muted colours to lyrical calligraphic #abstraction of his later work and reasons behind.

He is now my latest Twitter avatar.

I can now truly appreciate retirement and not working for the man, though I still get nightmares sometimes.

With my first year of being a pensioner being seriously ill with invasive treatments to eradicate the thing that was mutating inside, I can finally make #art full-time. So cool.

Now I'm getting better I have more energy to work. I have inertia. I was getting lethargic before, now I have the urgent imperative to be productive. Cancer makes you think different, as Apple crudely put it. Now it's gone I realise #time is fleeting and I must make better use of it.

I still think this is the best, most beautiful and uplifting #Christmas advert ever made. The recent ones, though fine, just can't compete with perfection.

Still trying to fight the battle on X but so many bots it's like Ukrainians fighting the orcs on the Eastern Front, and sometimes you have to do a tactical retreat.

Anyway, I did promise some #art so here's a #painting called Mask of the Red Death dating 2021-25.
