The Seimitsu LS-56 comes with a square gate, which isn't great to me when it comes to the sometimes demanding precision of these older fighting games, but they do make an octagonal restrictor gate, and it was easy to install in the LS-4, which is very accessible, while still keeping that clean look.

The button / stick layout and placement feels really solid. It's easy to fit in your lap, the weight is nice, and if you want it on a table, the feet held it in place, so it's great in both situations.

In general, I also like the acoustics of it.

Got the @retrofrog.bsky.social LS-4 Neo Geo fight stick, and I like it, apart from two things that I was able to correct myself once in hand (so no big deal).

The size and the look are standout things for me. The gold speckling looks great in-person.

The Sound Selection album that came with the BotW Collector's edition was one of the main reasons I got it.

This has all the music you'd want from the $40 vinyl set, plus, you can digitize it.

If Nintendo were to have done a vinyl of anything, it should have been for this.

They could do one for the original music and another for the remix (and a deluxe set with both).

"Friends" is a beloved American sitcom that aired from 1994 to 2004, following six young adults-Rachel, Ross, Monica, Chandler, Joey, and Phoebe - living in New York City. The show explores their friendships, romances, careers, and personal growth over ten seasons.

I see now where they got the idea for the Ron Perlman "Beauty and the Beast" adaptation.

Got the e-Reader extender today from @turfmasta.bsky.social, and it's great! Perfect fit, and the brace at the top is a smart touch.

Besides giving the Analogue Pocket sone e-Reading powers, I can confirm that it works perfectly for Boktai as well!

You should do one for "Mara Forest" of Crow Country next!

Hey, man, if it validates all that effort you're putting in, I'll say it brightens up my day every time I see this wonderful piece up on my wall.

Head over to Portland and go to Pip's Original. They make 'em fresh and they're insanely good.

I had both as a kid. To me, even back then, they were so different, that you really couldn't pick one or the other. You had to have both.

(Funny that they were rated the same!)

How about Tia, from Breakers?

You don't have to be Justin Wong or Alex Jebailey to appreciate the updates in Capcom vs SNK 2 PRO!

I retranslated the win quotes, endings, rival dialogs, character endings, and move lists. I tried to keep it in line with the era, while uncensoring things, and retaining that SNK flair.

Roll canceling this gives you invincibility, it just cost Guard meter like the other defensive mechanics. In exchange for this, I've also slightly extended the window to execute it, making it easier, and letting you do stuff like below:

What if... when Capcom made all those updates and bug fixes to Capcom vs SNK 2 EO, they actually implemented Roll Canceling as a feature?

That alternate timeline is here. I give you:

Not my absolute favorite, but really quite enjoyable in its place in time.
