Happy Easter! One option for today's readings is Colossians 3:1-4. It reminds us that #Easter is not simply "turning the page" but helps us embrace the meaning of Christ's suffering and death in the light of his resurrection. I reflected on this passage in my book on baptism.

Every night during this Easter Week, Julia, kids, and I have been reading one reading and singing one psalm from Easter Vigil (Julia's idea). Tonight was Baruch (3-4), and the petitions we happened to get from @GiveUsThisDayLP tonight couldn't be more perfect. #Wisdom

In this time of division, today's reading from Ephesians 4:1-6 speaks to us of unity. I explored this passage in my book "Baptism: Alive in Christ" from Little Rock Scripture Study and @litpress

The law of the Lord refreshes, gives wisdom, rejoices the heart, enlightens (Psalm 19) | In a time of mindless selfishness, don't give up on goodness and virtue - it is good for the soul and life for the world.

Jesus drives demons out of people and lets them enter the swine, who swiftly drown themselves in the sea (Matt8). No wonder the townsfolk want Jesus to leave - healing & compassion are bad for the economy! And yet, let justice surge, & goodness flow like an unfailing creek(Amos5)

I co-coordinate @CantonSpirits - a gathering with young adults here in Stark County, Ohio, and this month our speaker is... me! Looking forward to talking about my new book and discovering how we can get into "baptismal faith shape" this Lent! |

Do any of my ministry friends use the project/messaging apps Trello and/or Slack? I'm particularly interested in how they being used for ministry teams [i.e. for collaboration]

Today's second reading for the Feast of the Holy Family was from Colossians, and I reflected on it in my new small @litpress book "Baptism: Alive in Christ." Family life is an important context for "living into" baptismal virtue throughout our lives.

I write about the Holy Family (today's Feast) & today's Gospel (Mt2) in "From Home to Home," & in this online reflection about Joseph, the dreamer. I also reflect on today's Colossians reading, in my new book on Baptism & will share a snippet later today

I couldn't resist sharing this wisdom from Pope Francis, from his recent Christmas gathering with employees and their families. Down-to-earth and deeply theological at the same time.

Grateful to hear @pjarzembowski speak on Pope Francis' #ChristusVivit and how the Church is recognizing how Christ is Alive in our youth and young adults. Thanks to @YoungInYtown & her @DOYoungstown colleagues for bringing him in!

Tonight @spirit_search was a gift. @parkerjpalmer's practical wisdom has influenced so many of us in ministry & faith formation. And @CarrieNewcomer's music (often inspired by Parker) has been a companion for our family through heartbreak & joy. Here is Carrie with our guitarist!

As a ministry leader, I am so glad & proud @stmikescanton was able to experience the depth of the faith we sing, led by Marty Haugen, Matt Reichert, & Zack Stachowski at our @openyourhymnal Live event. I am also personally grateful that my kids enjoyed & will have a memory of it
