The Mariners went out and added pieces at the deadline so that we would never see Mitch Garver and Dylan Moore in a lineup together ever again, yet here we are. Are they trying to throw this game or something?

After mentioning Tyler Locklear on here a bit ago I had to go and look at his numbers for the month of July and now it’s even more bizarre that he hasn’t been called up. He’s hitting .443 for the month! .500 on-base and an .803 SLUG. Dude is killing the baseball.

When it comes to the Mariners this season, I’m team DO NOT trade top 100 prospects for any rental bat, that includes Geno. Also, for all the Naylor groupies out there wanting to trade Sloan for him… he’s basically a platoon bat that gives you negative defensive value. That’s a big no.

This Mariners losing stretch has been rough, but thankfully the division is still very much within reach if they can turn it around. We desperately need to cut guys that don’t perform (Garver and others) and call up the young guys like Harry Ford. He’s earned his shot.

Terrible at bats from quite a few players tonight, but ultimately this was a terribly managed game by Dan Wilson. Bringing in your best reliever in the 9th in a tie game to face the bottom of the Nats order made zero sense.
