It looks like Quiet UI, an amazing suite of of (very tasteful) web components has been taken down. This is super sad, as @cory.laviska.com has done such great work and I was absolutely loving the style and approach. I hope he is able to continue this work on in some way!

Man, I REALLY dislike the Cursor reviewing UI. Git is perfectly fine for me to review changes. Stop making me do it twice.

“I would like to thank Bento for paying for my horse surgery”

Is a real sentence that was said out loud.

Almost had a legit spit take with my coffee

🤣 🤣 🤣
This week @ianlandsman.com and @aaronfrancis.com talk about everything from leasing horses to Aaron's new studio addition to what comes next for Database School and so much more.

Working on a side project that uses @angular.dev. After being without DI and Directives for 6 months, you forget how absolutely powerful they are, especially together.

Podcast reply guy here:

I say keep the ads separate. You combine them, I have enough time to hit the skip button. Spread out, I actually hear the ad. Not worth me searching for my phone or even reaching for my air pods to double click.

Those that use accessibility as a black and white hammer to shut down conversations about new components or design ideas are actively hurting the cause they claim to be militant about.

You know what's a real waste of government money? Issuing a terribly confusing memo that causes mass confusion and derails literally EVERYONE's real work to try to make sense of it for a full 24+ hours.

I took a day to spike playing with Figma Code Connect. It’s a very cool tool but I just can’t quite see how the juice is worth the squeeze. Figma components are just architected and composed so differently. At least when you have designers that don’t think like developers.

A fun side effect of working on a design system full time is that I can justify adding tasteful animations and transitions because every consumer will get the benefit. It's a harder sell when you are an IC working on feature work to fiddle with one component within one product.

So I'm new to React .... but the Context API is just feels like a less powerful and more clunky version of Angular's DI. I don't get it... It's not very nice.

I've been the sole dev on a team of designers building a design system for 3 months now.

My #1 advice to designers - Learn some fundamentals of the web platform. You don't need to code, but understand the medium of which you are designing for.

Devs - Do the opposite. Learn the basics design tools

For the last week my air pods start alerting me that they are tracking me every time I go for a walk, as if they were not mine. I have disconnected and re-paired them several times. Anyone else have this happen and was able to fix it? It's driving me nuts.
