Both chambers don’t have a choice optics wise, this Epstein vote will pass. The question is what are the consequences when he inevitably vetoes it. I’m not sure they could reach the veto proof threshold. What happens after the veto?

Freer than Greece under the junta, freer than China right now, freer than most countries in the world. Important not to lose sight of that.
A reasonable distinction. We're a country sliding into competitive authoritarianism, but as long as we're still freer than Greece was under the junta - and we are still freer than that - I'm with Tom Nichols on _Trump_, not (yet) the country as a whole, being fascist.
