In an unusual turn of events, my Goodreads reviews make me happy. They aren't all 5 stars but so many of them just GET IT.

I had really wanted 10k adds before pub and having 10% of that put me down but the reviews brought me all the way back up!

Synopsis:

But when the gods declare Alawani an Àlùfáà High Priest – a great honour where he will serve the gods and the Kingdom – he must be stripped of his power in a brutal trial likely to kill him. Unwilling to bear his death, L'ore vows to rescue him.
