Not all platforms keep meta data, and it's possible to strip out (or I suppose fake even) before uploading. An interesting idea but still has pitfalls.

Isn't it closer to 50/50 whether or not a company is eating them? Even if higher, that's still a substantial part of the economy where tariff pricing wouldn't have hit yet. Not easy to say that it'll keep trucking, or that a slush fund from tariffs would be spent in a helpful way.
