if you’re not able to separate your feelings from scenarios that fictional characters are in — to the point of harassing artists/writers, I say this with all seriousness, seek counseling. There are amazing therapists out there that specialize specifically in sex, sexual identity, trauma, kink etc.

art is a place for self-expression. a lot of people create characters in “taboo” scenarios because it allows them to explore these ideas safely

it might be able something that allows them to explore or heal their own sexuality, it might allow them to take back something that was taken from them

if you think artists and writers are in the wrong by not censoring to your tastes, then maybe this isn’t the place for you.

it’s fine to have your own opinions of what you like and don’t like, but it’s not cool to make others feel bad for what they like

especially bc it’s NOT REAL - if a certain character or ship brings someone joy, mind ya business and let them be especially in this shit show timeline we live in

Although I say “all ships are good ships” I used to be anti-certain ships or characters so much to avoid any art or artist making them.

This was NOT cool and I sincerely am sorry for making anyone feel alienated or like I was distancing myself from them because they liked that ship or character 😔

I'm being so real right now, learn how to engage in media as art and not a reflection of your own real life morals. consume things that make you uncomfortable and understand why it makes you uncomfortable. Don't just base yours and others morals standings on the media you consume.
