I'm a huge fan of deeper learning in schools and interested in helping schools serve all kids better. My posts and opinions are my own and do not reflect those of my employer(s), however vast in number they may end up being.
He hangs out at my place too.

Paraphrasing, but doing the wrong thing righter makes you more wrong (in terms of outcomes). Russell Ackoff explains in this video and relates it to schools at about 4:00 in. It is worth the watch: www.youtube.com/watch?v=MzS5...

You know, sometimes simplicity brings clarity and clarity may make it easier for people to choose to cross the road. We spend a lot of time in schools trying to explain what a version of "better" could look like, maybe simple and clear would cut to the chase.

You should have also asked any of your colleagues intending to support Patel to tell the officers how proud they are of the person they are about to support.

Great follow up that school leaders can ask (works for adults and students as do most things)

Who am I?
Am I who I say I am?
Am I all that I ought to be?

If you are on the hook, you are on the hook. It's is really easy to believe you're not. This applies from teachers to students.
