One of the most important reasons for this sound advice - we can learn to be comfortable with uncomfortable. It takes intentionality, for most people, to not gravitate towards "same" or "this is how we always do it". It might also make it easier to decide to take a risk you might avoid.
Every few days or so, play notes you don't normally like to play. Use a color you don't normally find attractive. Tell a joke that someone else would think is funny but you don't. Desire to grow. -III.

Finland is teaching children in school how to recognize fake news and propaganda as part of critical thinking and civic responsibility. Some of this will seem very familiar.

Indeed ed innovation needs more than algorithms @veletsianos.bsky.social. It needs a redefinition of purpose and success. There is a difference between preparing students for life and getting them to do better on tests. We are "all-in" on the latter of these. www.startribune.com/education-in...

Totally agree with the op. This should have started in the late 90’s when it was clear that technology and platforms could be used to deceive others for some form of advantage.
