Reminder that Starbucks’ CEO made 6,666x more than the company's median employee in 2024.

This was the widest CEO-to-Worker pay gap in the entire S&P 500.

And we're supposed to believe Starbucks can't afford to bargain a fair contract with its unionized workers?

Does that matter at all to Democratic senators?

The House Rules Committee -- which changes bills however the House speaker tells it to before they hit the House floor -- is meeting Weds at 1am to bring up the GOP's massive tax plan, which strips health insurance from 13.7M people to give tax breaks to rich people.

Definitely nothing to see here!

What we're witnessing from Donald Trump right now is the most corrupt scheme we've ever seen from a president of the United States.

He is literally selling access to the presidency for his own personal profit. We're introducing a bill to stop him.

To live with #thanksgiving is to acknowledge my interdependence. This is why tariffs are absurd, deportations are cruel, misogyny is a sin. To see my good intertwined with that of the other is not the clinched fist, but the open hand, the mutuality of giving and receiving.

I also second this for churches.

In my nearly 2 decades of ministry I’ve had so many times when designated/assigned giving was a hamstring for ongoing operations. It’s incredibly defeating to struggle making monthly budget with as much as 6 figures tied up in designated funds that can’t be touched.
By and large, the best thing you can do for any nonprofit in any field is to send them a check without any restrictions.

Do you trust the organization? Then let them allocate it. Don't make it hard.

If you don't trust an organization, then send it to another one you do.
Tis the season for helpful posts about what food shelves need so here's my advice:

If your kid's school is doing a Canned Food Drive or a movie theater is doing a special movie screening with a can of food in lieu of admission: give a can.

Otherwise: JUST GIVE MONEY.
