I have spoken to Jewish friends who conflate any pro-Paletinian protests with the idea of wiping Israel from the map. I wish that kind of thinking - and its inverse, that every Jew supports the Israeli government and want another Nakba - could be wiped from the discourse.
I passed by a pro-Palestine protest in Ottawa today and it gave me chills.
This was probably one of the largest protests I’ve seen in the decades I’ve lived in Ottawa.
It was peaceful, powerful and clear in its message.
