One thing that's stuck with me: the lighting of the show. "Turn the lights down so low it scares you." Like, wow, I never realized how dark and shadowy the sets were! What an amazing, if simple effect.

"Aw, that's lovely, dear. It really suits your face, and it reminds me of when I was following The Cure around on tour. That's where I met your father, you know."

Today, starting at 6 am, I walked 28 miles for a fundraiser for my local food bank, double the miles I've ever walked in a single day and with little to no training. I had a great time but literally had to crawl to the bathroom for a bath before my muscles totally seize up.

"Seriously, like, I am personally scared of Bobby Fischer. That man is like if the devil played chess."

I love how this book starts like, "Hi! I'm Bobby Fischer, and welcome to the world of chess! Whether you're a student, pro, or total beginner, I'm excited to help you improve your game!"

And then the author's forward is, "grandmasters have called Bobby Fischer 'the scariest gd chess player alive."

Everyone's got a different one. My neighbor loved to sing "Hot Cat (Child) in the City" to her cat. Me, I lean towards "Isn't He (She) Lovely?"
