the cover for a book entitled Villain by Natalie Zina Walschots. the cover is a bright magenta with dark blue and teal lettering for the title, and the author's name is in yellow. there is an image of the silhouette of a woman carrying a cane, surrounded by the silhouettes of five superheroes.

Physical books never die nor need recharging, which is one of the reasons I've largely moved on from eBooks
Also I don't travel nearly as much as I used to.

A little breaking and entering...
I darted behind the opening door, a blur of movement she wouldn’t notice in the dark. There I hovered, like a serial killer in a movie, except I didn’t have a knife to raise above my head to catch the light and the swelling soundtrack. I allowed myself a small grin at the absurdity of it.
Then she clicked on the light and turned to close the door.
Her gaze dragged across me, as if I were too impossible to actually exist, and then snagged and drew back. Her lips parted. The color drained from her face. It was all too tempting to shout, “Boo!”
You’d be proud of me for resisting.
