This was made for @lotuskoi.bsky.social of course. I wanted to include them in this visual novel one way or another, so here's to me planning to incorporate them into the story in some fashion.

They're a big fan of lotus flowers, so it felt most fitting to put this for May.

I'll be honest, the main motivator for this piece was drawing Arata for the first time.

Not much to speak on this time, however drawing him out was definitely satisfying. Now I can finally visualize him properly for the future.

Fun fact: Both Arata and Tyso have the same personality type! ENFJ :D

Personally my favorite piece of the months.

When I watched The Good Dinosaur for the first time, I was so awed at the firefly scene because it made be realize that I've never seen a firefly irl. The way they lit up the darkness was very comforting to child me.

Hoping I get to see one soon ;)

Siamese cat! The biggest thing that intrigues me is that they get darker as they age. Like that's so sick. Also I just like cats

One movie that I will always love is Tangled, which is also the inspiration for this piece. The idea of going out to see the world and what you're missing out on, especially alone with someone you can feel vulnerable around, made me decide to choose February for these two.

Also I like lanterns. :)

This month, and the setting in general, is heavily inspired from another furry visual novel, Lyre, created by @atmac.bsky.social

I've always wanted to create something like that vn, so why not dedicate January to the most royal and grand of characters in my story

For some context for whoever reads: I'm trying to make a furry visual novel at some point, and I also want to create a 2026 calendar for myself.

Put them together, we have me forced to actually draw my lovely OCs in a short time frame lol.
