Happy hobby artist - smearing paint in all its' manifestations onto stuff. Dog dad to the cutest doxie you will ever see. Constantly feeding my escapism from reality.

I was lucky to go to Czechia last weekend and sketch this scene - I kind of like the loose, careless vibe a lot

I am so looking forward to spring.. but also somewhat sad I won't be needed as a human hot water bottle anymore. no more of these lovely derpy occasions until next fall. :(

i wanted to paint a little companion piece for the landscape from a couple days ago. used basically the same colours and everything but look how different it turned out - so earthy and gloomy... also birch trees are really, really hard.

> your dachshund gets full on zoomies at 6am on a saturday
> goes back to deep sleep after wee and breaky
> you are both wide awake and utterly exhausted
> might as well start blocking in a painting

oh i love everything about this. the angry fat cat, that donut thingy, the questionable regency fashion - so so good.

this was supposed to be a rather wintry landscape until my peacock within demanded just a bit more colour. and a bit more. and a tiny bit more...

slightly demonic-looking sketch from the sofa last night

these days i'm either drawing loose landscapes in very exaggerated colours or more tight, detailed (& pretty raunchy) people studies. do i have to decide between the two or can i just succumb to the moment?

yesterday: Microsoft announced record breaking profits, becoming the second company in human history to ever be worth more than $3 trillion.

today: Microsoft laid off 1,900 employees from Activision Blizzard & Xbox.

the greed on display here is genuinely revolting.

a quick loose-ish acrylic sketch in the sketchbook before collapsing into bed.

my most recent favourite sketchbook page.
had loads of fun collaging a bit with vellum paper and I swear the other cut-outs are from a book I actually picked out of someone else's litter. no intact books have been destroyed for this.

the deep deep quote was a bit too much pressure today. i like the cute crow. maybe I'll save it tomorrow but most definitely probably not

such a grey cold day where I am - really needed some pops of colour. trying some new acrylic markers in my sketchbook - fun!

did paint myself some nice splotchy skin and then of course never touched it again ✨
took the reference selfie right after having a very hot bath so at least it looks adequately flushed!

trying to ramp up my sketching habits this year and sketch every day.
no fancy stuff, no masterworks, just do it everyday. so far has been going well. ticking the daily box in my tracking app feels good 😊

still a bit too obsessed with Egon Schiele's work, especially the way he drew and painted hands. so long, so bony, so spindly but then so colourful and... juicy? here are some of my studies and experiments
