the vast majority of callouts that aren't about Actual Celebrities With Systemic Power just have no business whatsoever being made a concern of the public. it is a nuclear option being treated as the first port of call because it makes you immune from criticism and exempt from introspection.

When your entire business model is essentially "pillage and plunder" with varying degrees of plausible deniability, anyone asserting ownership or sovereignty over anything is a threat.
