This isn't to say I'm upset to have allies or smth. It just kinda reveals something about the thought pattern. Like they're implying we could be hurting other people, or that they have to remind everyone that they themselves are not trans. Like, I'm not asking something huge. Why all the caveats?
Why do cis people constantly justify support by explicitly saying being trans "isn't for [them]"?
Like... Yeah? You would've said so if it was "your thing." You don't need to justify being supportive with that caveat; or the one that often follows: "it's not like you're hurting anyone". Obviously!
