I keep opening the AI search mode on my Pixel because it's in the way to the search bar.

I wonder if I'm contributing to Google's adoption numbers for AI mode.

There are at least 5 unused parking spaces next to Covent Garden, and like 35 bikes on the bike racks.

@london.gov.uk London needs more bike parking, it costs nothing.

I have noticed this around London a lot.

Parks have few benches, are fenced off, and entrances are often locked at night. In central London, some smaller parks are also private, so inaccessible unless you live in the surrounding properties.

It makes apartment living harder than it should be.

It works fine for me on desktop. Here's a screenshot:

You can fit an 8" mitre saw on the back of a bike with some straps, who needs a #cargobike

I love 3D printing- a retaining clip on my pannier broke, and I could just download a new one and print it.

The Greenwich foot tunnel is joke infrastructure.

The lifts break so often that there is an *automated* board and a webpage.

One of the things that Paris does to enable it is street lighting on the sides of buildings.

This frees a lot of space on the pavement for pedestrians and more bike parking.

It also makes the pavement easier to repurpose because there aren't immovable poles.

People do use bikes to go socialize.

Also, I never saw the pileups of Lime bikes that now plague central London.

The bikes are also clearly not just for young people- they are for families to get around too.

They aren't just beaters, either (as you often see in London). Clearly, people with utility bikes feel safe leaving them outside.

There are so many bikes... Like, *so many*!

I thought London was progressing quickly, but Paris is on a whole other level.

There's bike parking everywhere! Any remotely interesting place has bike parking. Any place where people live- bike parking. Anywhere else- also bike parking.

I was just on a trip to Paris and I loved it's cycle friendliness compared to London today.

Walkable spaces do not contribute to GDP or government budgets. This makes it hard to use financial metrics to prioritize them over anything measurable.

Here's a picture from a random street in Paris.

White lime has been used as a reflective material for centuries in places where it is abundant.

Here's a nice picture of Santorini.
