My mom pulled us from my grandma's house (grandma looked after us while parents worked) when I was 12. Think it was minimum legal age in WA state where kids were allowed to babysit kids (my sister was 10, brother was 7). I remember them being antsy for that birthday to roll around.

Watching this all happen in real time - when we all said "here is what will happen!!" - has been a real trip. There is an extremely easy way to start rolling this back. It starts with moderating spaces, the same way any other space is moderated. One weird trick!

We saw this from very beginning of Internet and social media. Unmoderated spaces descended into chaos. The pile ons that happened to women bloggers in GG era, and long before, drove a lot of incredible voices out of the spaces. And we got left with this tiny unhinged minority who became normalized
