I don't think there's a useful distinction to be made between ML and generative AI really, but there is a meaningful distinction in the intents, required resources, and expected outcomes of this project as opposed to the likes of ChatGPT. It's not about the exact technology being used.

I know they've been the darling of enlightened Internet users for a while but I've thought for a long time that their conduct as an organisation was very much not focused on what Firefox users valued but rather their own thought bubbles of the moment.

I think it is fair enough that hospital staff do the job of trying to identify evidence of abuse in young patients but my gosh why are so many of them utterly incompetent at it. I always thought having an active, outdoorsy child was the ideal, dirt and bruises are a side effect of that life! 🙄

Wishing a very good evening to tonight's doctor who pointed out to his colleague that a child seeking medical attention for potential complications from a biking accident meant there would also be bruises from said accident, thus shutting down whatever insinuations were starting up there.

Honestly after they ruined Scar's backstory (*screaming into the void*, THEY JUST MADE UP A WHOLE NEW WORSE CANON!) I'm numb to it all. Sure! Let's find out how Gaston's egg consumption was actually representative of deep-seated trauma. Why not explore how Ursula's 'garden' deserved it next time? 🙃

Kids have enough to contend with these days without also having to bear the weight of adults projecting an expectation of being magically ideologically perfect on them.

My kid did not find the existence of gay people easy to accept and he has gay parents. 🤣 It took him a while to reconcile our family situation with a blatantly heteronormative world. He still refers to me as the 'dad' of the family (fortunately this really tickles me).

I had the pleasure to be outside the day the new young starling popped out of the hole in the roof, whistled beautifully as if in thank-you, and flew off forever into its new life. I wonder if I still have starling grandbabies out there somewhere...

The first house my wife and I lived in together maybe 15 years ago was built in the early 1900s with exactly the kind of chaotic roof you'd expect. A starling got up in there one year and raised a baby, much to my wife's exasperation and my delight when the roof above us was constantly chirping. 😂

One day I want to write a fic or a story taking inspiration from the franchise where the neglected kid ends up adopted by the bandits. Not like he'd be worse off, at least they'd know better than to take their eyes off him too long.
