Home of the soon to be the premiere Tokusatsu podcast (hopefully).
I watched the final episode of Ultraman Blazar and it really highlights what I love about that show. Great combat, fun characters and paying off what it's set up along that way, even with the ED songs. If you haven't already I hope you give Blazar a chance.

I had some time at work and watched the first two episodes of Brave Bang Bravern and its a wild ride. It's got a very Last Action Hero or Nadesico/Gekiganger 3 vibe to it where there's the real world of the show intersected by another, more absurd, reality.

The penultimate episode of Ultraman Blazar was great. It sets up Vallaron as a threat nicely without giving too much about him away and gives SKaRD a monumental challenge. I might have to skip work to watch the final episode live.

I'm through New Year Dash now, so its the rare time I'm on top of New Japan. Now I can take a hot second to watch some other promotion's shows for once.

Finally finished watching Wrestle Kingdom and it was....fine? Like its a sign of the spoil of riches that we have in wrestling right now, every match was technically good; but outside of the Yuya/Yota and Ren/Shooter tag everything felt like a return to old courses.

If you aren't listening to Sailor Business Diamond, you're missing out on a great Tokusatsu podcast covering Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon. It's also the podcast that made me want to make the dream of a Kamen Rider podcast a reality. Check it out: sailorbusiness.libsyn.com

Anoter day, another episode of Chojin Sentai Jetman! Episode 4 seems to have a Kaori focus, so this should be fun.

Did someone just die from an Alien possessed Faucet? It must be time for Jetman Episode 3!

I was not expecting Episode 2 of Jetman to open like a John Woo flick, but I'm all in for it! It's Jetman time!

Time to take over Bluesky one post at a time, it's time for Chojin Sentai Jetman Episode 1! Spoilers for a 30 year old show ahead.

I love my parents. They know I love Tokusatsu, so out of the blue they get me Return of Ultraman for Christmas because they thought it was a sequel to Shin Ultraman.

Episode 21 of Ultraman Blazar was great because not only did you get some cool pro-wrestling inspired combat, you got a reminder that doing the ground work and putting in that extra effort pays off in the end. Also the insurance industry sucks.

Leaning to covering some older Sentai after Blazar finishes up. That could be a fun change of pace.

I own a Criterion Collection Blu-ray of Godzilla (1954) that's signed by Akira Takarada and Haruo Nakajima. Meeting them was one of those all time moments.
Reskeet with something you own that most people don't.

I own my own pizza delivery bag. It's wonderful for getting takeout or bringing kugel or mac and cheese to a potluck. I love being able to keep my food hot and pizza places always seem to think it's cool that I have it.

I get not liking things, but literally shit-talking a juvenile creator into abandoning his passion project is pretty vile.

Band-Maid doing a song for the upcoming Grendizer anime is very much a peanut-butter and chocolate situation for me. Giant Robots and Rocking Maids are a perfect combo!

Episode #21 of Ultraman Blazar really shows the strength of the series. It was as much about Yasunobu and Anri as it was about defeating the Kaiju of the week and it was really compelling. SKaRD really has more of a tight group of friends feel then in some of the other shows I've watched.

When Ultraman Blazar finishes up, I've gotta think of something to recap over here.

We've gotten Ultraman, Kamen Rider and Godzilla in US theaters in a single year. That's so wild and I love it!
