We’re the last house in a wee lane so the high hedge creates a mini vortex where the leaves finally settle. I don’t mind the leaves on the grass. Just prefer a clear driveway.

For three days now I’ve been sweeping leaves off the drive after work. His Nibs thinks it’s a waste of time but I’m finding it surprisingly relaxing and satisfying.
I probably need to get out more. 🙃

All of the above plus effective and appropriate prosecution of all offenders. Too often, little or no meaningful judicial response serves as a deterrent. I’ve seen little evidence of justice for victims and their families. Consequently, racists are further emboldened.

Leaves were starting to drop for autumn but the storm caught the weight of the crown and tore the tree down.

Contorted willow.
Think it was weakened by neighbours digging out deep foundations for their garden room. Directly behind the tree.
It was glorious this summer in full leaf despite roots being damaged.
Real shame but my sister is going to use the trunk for a new catio.

It’s an outrage that her name is not commonplace and celebrated around the world.
I read the book some years ago and recommend it to all and sundry.
