The problem with the so-called "nonviolence" of the Civil Rights Era is that it is misnarrated. The retelling in the "American myth of progress" version of the Civil Rights movement was that it was completely nonviolent.

killer part is, we told the creator of it YEARS ago on twitter. but since he's a white "ally" who "means well" he just ignored us all and keeps sharing it, and people keep also sharing it, glaring errors and all.
I've never liked this meter.
It's too neat. too much "linear progression narrative."
I get it trying to make a point, but there's so much nuance to these colors.
And that green area is extremely misleading. But that's just me

When people say “but socialism’s doesn’t work” ask, how many of the socialist countries he names were invaded, sanctioned, etc by the US to make sure socialism didn’t work?
