I prosecute and defend the most serious sexual offences in our courts.

The overwhelming majority of offenders are British-born. Overwhelmingly the victim is someone known to them, either a partner or relative.

Anybody purporting to care about protecting women might start there.

How funny - the government has now ordered an inquiry into the ‘Battle of Orgreave’ - 18 June 1984. This was one of the high points of state repression of the miners’ strike. One tool of this repression was the imposition of restrictive bail conditions on striking miners … 1/

In times of universal deceit, telling the truth becomes a revolutionary act...
Thanks to Keir Starmer and his horrible mob, we're living in a back-to-front, upside-down world where genocidal child killers are celebrated and supported, while those who decry genocidal child-killing are derided and labelled as "terrorists".

Tax the rich. And actually collect the tax they owe! Is that so radical??
Today #PCS is relaunching our #TaxJustice policy in parliament, calling for fairer taxation and proper HMRC funding. The £billions currently lost to avoidance, evasion, and under-resourcing could fund public services.

A group they would certainly have proscribed for their campaigns, which included bombs & vandalism

Really pleased to hear that. It's hard enough being disabled and trying to get support already. What is a Labour PM thinking of, except his mates in the city!
I have joined over 100 Labour MPs in signing an amendment which would stop the vote on disability benefit cuts next week.

I agree we need to reform our welfare system, but I cannot overlook that this Bill is estimated to put even more households into poverty.

UK must stop facilitating genocide. Why has my MP #AfzalKhanMP not signed it?
UK military aid, arms, intelligence and decisions by government ministers have enabled Israel’s genocide in Gaza.

That’s why I’m proud to co-sponsor @jeremycorbyn.bsky.social’s bill for a full, independent public inquiry, like the one for the Iraq War. Truth matters. So does accountability.

Trade unionists calling for action on climate and nature.
Don’t believe those who say we have to choose between protecting jobs and protecting our planet.
📣 24 union leaders urged the Government to set a timeline to consult with the #CANBill campaign—and to give it more time for a debate and vote in Parliament.

“We want an update on what they’re doing for a just transition that places workers—regardless of industry—at the heart of what they do.”
