Being paid for a job, simply means nothing here

I mean, I have no problem with the idea of the social state and all that, but when it comes down to doing business, or simply go shopping, who and why should have patience/time for entitled incompetence met more often than not?

That latter category, if I judge from the way they look at me, must have some interesting stories to tell.

The most openly enthusiastic about it are the Muslim Greeks (which I didn’t even knew that existed at all), or those that happened to pass from Greece as immigrants and started learning the language.

It’s me counting the coins in front of me, it’s them continuing. The Christian Greeks talk Greek to their friends about recipes. We shyly greet each other.
