You can be a sausage maker and benefit society more than a doctor.

Don’t ever try to speak reason to grown ups that have never actually grown up. At best, it’s like speaking to the wall. Instead speak the language of their approx age. You’ll hit wall, every single time till breaking point. Absolutely not worth it. Just don’t

That’s exactly what I’m talking about when I’m talking about Berlin’s dysfunctional market landscape. As if nobody’s interested about your money. Pfff busy doing other things. It’s the same idea with the “in Germany you don’t need to work (if you don’t want to)”
I'm trying to buy a gift subscription to the Speccie for my dad, and apparently they don't want my money. Yesterday the page wasn't even loading; today I'm getting this. Take my money, for God's sake! @thespectator1828.bsky.social

I had to come to Germany to start thinking about the meaning of the Greek identity.

I get more and more surprised by the number of ppl who respond when I start talking Greek.

In other Bubi news..

The mystery invader has stopped coming into my house and shutting Bubi into the bathroom, but today I received a big bag of his food I never ordered.

Creepy, right?

Let’s see if it’ll turn into an obsession. So far -since yesterday- I’m thinking quite a lot about it: creating a miniature Bubi and mass sell him

Greeks lost in translation while trying to communicate to each other. A v Greek phenomenon. Happened to me today and reminded me how Greek I am. From the 3 of us, the man and I got paranoid almost simultaneously for a second, creating almost a comedic coincidence.

The spookiest (looking) of all. That constant smile
Hassett: "On one of the Sunday shows, the anchor criticized the fact Walmart said the Thanksgiving dinner is cheaper by about $10. Then he said, 'Oh yeah, but they substituted generic stuff,' as if having a generic something is a crime for ordinary folks! It shows how out of touch these people are."

Re AI and accountability or AI and its over-agreeableness with the user, these are not real arguments against, considering the level of consciousness humans often operate in.
