Pittsburgh. Went in college and the whole downtown shut down at 8 pm, including McDonalds. We just wanted dessert and had to go to like 4 places. Found no dessert with 2 spots saying "the dessert truck didn't come in today". I assume this means the city has to import desserts regularly.

I don't have kids so please correct me if I'm wrong: wouldn't having 3 separate pokes by a needle be 3 times as bad for children? And wouldn't scheduling 3 appointments be 3 times as hard for parents? But again, no kids. So i could be wrong.

NGL, I actually think unarmed National Guardsman picking up trash is an excellent use of their time.
Police picking up trash throughout the day would do more for crime deterrence and building community trust than anything they actually try doing.
