I’m not done for today, even though it’s late on a Saturday night. Maybe it’s because I have nothing better to do now that the kids are down.

But here’s my latest. Don’t forget to follow me on Substack.

Love this.
To paraphrase Simon Sinek in more political terms —“People don’t vote for you on what you do, but why you do it”.

This feels especially relevant when analyzing the Trudeau government’s recent announcement of a GST holiday and rebate cheque.

My latest piece in the @theglobeandmail.com.

Opinion: In a time of pocketbook issues, productivity has a public-relations problem
Only pocketbook issues are being talked about around the dinner table. So politicians act on these issues to the detriment of our productivity problem

Dropping another one of my recent articles to help anyone who sees this profile decide if I'm worth a follow. Because self-reflection is important, especially if you work in PR or comms.
A quick note from your PR team: We know we’re “the worst.”
We’re the worst. We get it.

I feel as though this LinkedIn article I penned a while back, about how we tend to be swayed and make decisions based on certain persuasion techniques, is pretty relevant given recent events - especially given the U.S. election was largely deemed to be one about the economy.
What an economist can teach us about writing a persuasive message.
Maybe you’ve simply heard of the book in passing. Or maybe you’ve picked up a copy for yourself, with it now sitting untouched on your bedside table.
