WFH Southpaw
I give big credit to the thousands of people in Minnesota for continually protesting peacefully in frigid weather. What an amazing city.

Lunch break = cleared the overnight snow. Grateful for kind neighbor w/ snow blower who took care of plowed in stuff and "widened" driveway so I could easily fling new snow aside, w/out having to walk each shovelful somewhere or try to hurl it over shoulder height piles. Baking banana bread for him.

Downside of WFH: No more snow days. Worked a full day, feeling sorry for myself, thinking of coworkers who got a paid day off.

Order placed. Replenishing stash of cat treats and dark chocolate. $65. Yes, for 1 cat, 1 person. We have needs.

1.25 hours shoveling & clearing the car, staying on top of total snowfall (8" so far). 2nd pass cleared another 2". Thank goodness for light and fluffy. Snow-caked hat, gloves, mittens drying on laundry rack and coat is hanging in the shower. I just heard fireworks, so I know the Patriots won (IDC).

ICE is the worst of the worst.

This is awesome. "Retripootion" - exes, ideologies, illnesses... Last campaign garnered donations from all 50 states, Canada, UK, Australia, and India.
Help animals and poop on fascist pedophile dictators for $10, or 2 hearts for $14!

RISPCA’s ‘Love Stinks!’ campaign returns after brief hiatus
The Rhode Island Society for the Prevention and Cruelty to Animals (RISPCA) is once again offering stinky “retripootion” to scorned lovers this Valentine’s Day.

I don't follow football, but I know this guy is an a-hole. Enjoy.

Ice vs. ICE. 🥴

One of my favorite WFH benefits, particularly at this time of year: No constant stream of football chats.

Strongly dislike Ilia Malinin's self voiceover, and if it has to be there at all, it should be in a hushed tone. Won't miss this long program.

Isabeau Levito's Sophia Loren short program seemed similar to last year's Moon River/Audrey Hepburn short program, just swapping the black dress and gloves for red.

I have been saying this all season: Chock and Bates' rhythm dance (Lenny Kravitz medley) has wayyy too many music changes.

Maintaining my sanity this eff'd up weekend by watching speed skating Olympic trials. Pure skating❤️

Held the door for Rudy Galindo as he was entering the arena with two large duffel bags at the U.S. Figure Skating Championships in 1995 (the year before he won). Yes, he said "Thank you."
Right folks. Feeling rather down at the moment so bringing back an oldie

Coworker's recent tragic family loss, Brown shooting, Rob Reiner and wife. Kind of a crap weekend here. Just kept working at all my holiday baking, trying to stay on schedule and for mental diversion.

New & Fun for 2025 at the office: 12 Days of Christmas! 🎅🎄

Today, Day 1: Email thank you from office manager to "Everyone" for doing our jobs.

Small Business Saturday: awesome nursery for bundles of long-needled pine for my window box, hanging planter, large porch pot, and then to the nearby small factory jewelry sale, Christmas edition. Yay for more Christmas jewelry I totally don’t need, but it’s marked way down!

Ventured out on Black Friday: Out the door by 9:15 AM, local crafts fair, 3 self-pickups at big box store, and a local favorite restaurant for their BF gift card special - B1G1 for 1/2 (which together will fund my 2026 meals there). Home by 11:30 AM; never left my town.

Butternut squash pie garnished with candied pecans, served with fresh whipped cream spiked with Bailey’s. Happy Thanksgiving! 🥧🍁

My baking sheet that warps in the oven is now clearly marked as such on the underside in blue Sharpie. MOFO. I was using it under the pie plate to catch any spills, not *cause* spills. Fortunately, just one little dribble.

Went somewhere with a friend, who forgot her ATM card, so I withdrew for both of us. She is now incorrectly remembering the amount I gave her by $50. I never dreamed I would have to document the transaction in her presence. Lesson learned. Never again.

How many different pairs of Christmas socks is too many? Twenty? What if four of them are different flamingo Christmas socks? Impressive, right? And surprisingly, only two pairs are cats.
